    Great combo unit, not made for retrofit. I successfully installed this myself but it was a lot more involved than I expected. The unit is much bigger than I imagined. I should have read the specs, but it’s ok. I probably spent another $100 on other things I needed to complete it – insulated ducting, electrical wire, roof vent, wall switch, fasteners, etc. I never did get the wire clamp to fasten the electrical to the frame of the fan unit – it really should have come with that, as the size is not specified anywhere. I figured no one will be up in my attic kicking it around anyway…Note it does come with joist hangers though in case you need those.My only complaints against the unit itself are that it is designed only for installation in a room that does not yet have drywall installed, and that if you are direct mounting to a joist it can only fit one way due to the size of the exhaust port. There are a couple ways to do this as a retrofit, neither perfect. The first is to cut the hole in the drywall too…

    Low-Profile, High Performance PROS:* wonderful blue nightlight that can always be on* exceptionally quiet fan. Cannot be heard from other rooms, sometimes can’t be heard in the bathroom with other noise!* pulls out moisture very well* produces great light* very sleek and low-profile design. Perfect for bathrooms with lower ceilings, which I have.CONS:* pricier than regular fans* slightly difficult to clean the top of the light/nightlight areaFULL REIVEW:This fan and light is awesome. We replaced just a plain light in our bathroom with this. Any replacement like that is going to take awhile, due to duct work, but the product is made well so that helps. You will need a three-way switch in order for it to work properly, one for the main light, one for the night-light, and one for the fan. You could wire it to have the light and fan come on together, but I prefer the 3-way. We leave the night-light on all the time.The blue…
