Stylish, but barely worth the hassle. I give this faucet 5 stars for looks and 1 star for being a P.O.S. right out of the box. This faucet is made in China and not in Kohler, WI. Although the seal on the box was secure when I received the product, the faucet was uninstallable in its present condition. I don’t know how it ever got through Q.A. The lever on the cold handle side was extremely loose. I called Kohler and asked if I should send it back. They told me to take the handle apart and try to tighten the lever screw. But it was already as tight as it could get. They said it would be quicker to send me a new handle assembly. But instead of a new assembly, all they sent was a new lever and a screw that did nothing to fix the problem. And so it went for the next month while Kohler dribbled me one part after another. When I finally thought I had everything I needed and went to install a complete faucet, the drain rod was too short and did not come close to reaching the linkage. And it’s not that the faucet holes in the…
A Lot of Money for a Kohler Faucet Set that Apparently Has Some Internal Valve Shut-Off Stops Made of Plastic. Save Your Bucks. This valve looks great in my half bath that has all bright brass fixtures. But after 7 1/2 months I am not so happy. I purchased a KOHLER K-394-4-PB Devonshire Widespread Lavatory Faucet. from amazon Prime on October 3, 2016. I had it installed on a Kohler Pedestal sink and it replaced a similar non-Kohler faucet the rusted out. It looks great and worked well until about one month ago. After having a number of dinner guests one evening the next day I noticed that the cold water valve still turned on and off off correctly moving about 45 degrees. However, the hot water valve must be turned 90 degrees to stop the flow of water. My installing plumbing contractor said I would need to order the part from Kohler and that the stop is made of plastic, which one of the guests might have turned it too hard and broke the stop. The handle now rests against the back wall to stop the hot water flowâlooks terrible.
Beautiful, so glad I made the decision I Love this fixture! I looked and looked for the right fixture, and had passed this by a few times after I saw it in person at a store. I was afraid it looked a bit dated and old fashioned. After thinking it over and looking at every fixture known to man, I made a snap decision to put these in both bathrooms that we were remodeling at the same time (yes, we must be nuts to do 2 at a time!!). I paired them with a beautiful quartzite counter top over a cream colored. vanity. Our house is traditional, and kind of cottage style. They look fantastic. I would choose them again, They look elegant and comfortable at the same time, and don’t look old fashioned at all!Oh, I forgot to say- I read that others were having trouble with spots they couldn’t get off after installation. I had the same issue, and used pledge multi surface cleaner, and really rubbed and rubbed, and got them pretty much spot free. Then I used regular pledge liberally over the whole thing. They look great and the…
