My bathtub fixtures look and operate like brand new. The item contained all related parts to completely repair the old warn out faucet system. It’s a simple repair if you have any experience with repairing your bathtub / shower fixtures. The only thing I would warn a person about is that the valve stem nut was not tightened on the valve stem. If this nut is not tightened, the water will turn on and off normally. However; when the water is turned on, it will leak out where the handle is located. The product worked perfect. My bathtub fixtures look and operate like brand new. You will need to have a valve seat tool to remove the old valve seat. It’s best to replace those seats. It will extend the life of the washers and allow less force in turning off the water.
This product was absolutely perfect. Good packaging This product was absolutely perfect.Good packaging, good layout, Excellent directions: clear and in color.I purchased this package for my father-in-law’s shower that has the ORIGINAL 50 year old PF Faucet.It turned out that i was delayed too many times so he did the installation himself including removing the original valve seats using a 4 sided, tapered screw removal tool. He said he was stuck and worried he did something wrong…. Well, He didn’t do anything wrong. All that was left was to add the threaded trim installation shafts and put the trim on. Looks and works great.Very well done.NOTE: NO tool included to remove the seats. That is noted sort of in the documentation.I would be glad to pay a $1.50 to have everything needed. Also, a set of spare washers for the next time needed would be great.I am trying to figure out wey I don’t start using this valve in all future shower installs. It’s just fine. Could be the best 40 bucks I’ve ever spent Note: This review is for the diverter only. I did not replace the hot/cold stems since the originals are still working fine, but it’s good to know that I have the parts on hand.Very happy with this product since I can now have a really good shower for the first time since I moved into my new house. My valve body is an old Price-Pfister 3-handle with the number 7200 stamped into the case and the parts fit just fine. As per advice given in other reviews, I used pipe thread sealant on the seat and stem and teflon grease on the flange nipple. I followed the directions carefully and had excellent results. As others have mentioned, you do need a seat wrench – not included in this kit.
