Reciprocating Saw and Spotlight are a good mix of tools for the average homeowner I’ve owned DeWalt tools for years, but over the winter my 18v NiCd drill went missing – I’d been on the lookout for a replacement and jumped on this kit when it was on sale through the Amazon Warehouse. The Drill, Impact Driver, Reciprocating Saw and Spotlight are a good mix of tools for the average homeowner. My only complaint is that due to the nature of the technology, the batteries run very consistently until they stop outright, and when that happens you’re forced to swap – and you only get two batteries with this set, so if you’re working on a large project you may have a little downtime waiting for charging to finish. The batteries DO charge very quickly, but an extra battery or two is on my shopping list for sure.
Sawsall is weak even when fully charged The usual problems with batteries powered power tools. I cut (3) 1″ pipes on a an elliptical exercise machine, and the battery went dead 3 times after a full charge. I avoided the circular saw package for this very reason. Only the drill and flashlight as really useful. The sawsall is pathetic. Saw with fully powered handtools for tools cutty meaty, real world materials
Missing two key parts It arrived today as I needed it for a Saturday AM job. Opened the package and missing two key important parts. I got no charger and missing one battery. Unfortunately the replacement will get here Saturday and I guess when I get back I will have it. @dewalttogh…great quality control you got and thanks for helping …. not.
