There is a BIG difference between kit tools and bare (individual) tools. I wish I had watched your video before I purchased the DeWALT DCK940D2 20V MAX Lithium Ion 9-Tool Combo Kit. I made a couple of assumptions about this kit and that kinda came back to bite me in the a**. My mistake.A few things:(DCR006) Radio: doesn’t charge tool batteries (HUGE let down). Also, doesn’t sound that great BUT the Bluetooth feature is a plus.(DCS393) Circular saw: Though not flimsy, the shoe longevity does worry me in regards to droppage and transport in the provided tool bags. My DC390 has the magnesium shoe. ALSO, the DCS393 doesn’t come with a rip guide – I’m splitting hairs here but STILL.(DCF885) Impact driver is fine though I actually feel that my 18v I.D. (DC825B) has a bit more power behind it.(DCD771) Drill/driver: I knew kit came with the drill/driver, which is lame but I’d hoped it would be better than a mid-tier honey-do weekend warrior drill. Does what it is intended to do but a hammer drill would have made all the…

beginner set, not meant for real work first i got this set because i wanted to try the dewalt 20v line, ive used the 18v and liked them also my current line kobalt 24v only had a few tools available. since getting this set i regret it, the drill has no power for drilling i almost burnt it up and the sawzall did burn up on first real use, still waiting on dewalt repair shop from warranty, the little batterys are junk if you plan to use it daily so i got aftermarket ones 1/4 price of dewalt batterys and work great. the most used tool for me is the impact, grinder and flashlight witch works for close spoting to. ive herd that the XR id better but i think im gonna go back to kobalt 24v or Milwaukee because you can only work as hard as your tools and these dont work hard for the price. also will say the speaker is nice but if you want a radio your sol since half dewalts radios have junk speakers

Carpenter’s review Im a finish carpenter. My ridgid screw guns were dying on me all the time so I upgraded to this 9 tool dewalt set. I picked this set because i really wanted the multi tool. Its the best performing tool of the batch. I use the screw guns and skill saw daily installing doors and cabinets. I’ve had them for a month so far and they work great. Plenty of torque, 2ah batteries last 8 hours with the screw guns. i bought 5ah batteries for the other tools. I would suggest upgrading the charger. Takes a couple hours to fully charge battery. . Only other complaint is i used the reciprocating saw maybe a dozen times, light duty only, cutting drywall mostly, and it crapped out on me. Motor completely seized up and started smoking. I contacted Dewalt, waiting on a response. I think I just got a defected tool. Would have gotten 5 stars otherwise.
