Nothing beats the right tool for (all) the jobs Just arrived today, and have used it for about 10 minutes. I can honestly say that this is the single most satisfying tool I have ever used.Like some, I’ve got a fair number of gadgets, almost all of which were purchased as needed. Unbeknownst to me, I’ve needed this thing MY WHOLE LIFE.Over the weekend, I began installing some floating floors in an older country home that flooded some twenty years ago. While moving appliances around the laundry room, I encountered several soft spots in the subfloor. Looks like the old subfloor, which is now collecting moisture and rotting, was just covered over with plywood and is taking it with it, too. I now had half the floor ripped up, staring at dirt that is usually home to armadillos, snakes, and who knows what else. Needless to say, I haven’t been that thrilled with the task ahead.Then steps in this cool little device. Now, I’m sure there are more powerful and capable oscillating tools on the marketâthis is…

After reading all the good reviews, I decided to replace my … After reading all the good reviews, I decided to replace my inexpensive off brand oscillating multi-tool. That wasn’t a bad first first purchase and I picked it up for a very cheap price. This Dremel is worlds above its replacement. My first real job was to remove some old baseboard. The flush cut wood/metal blade easily slipped behind the base molding. What totally blew me away was the ease with which it cut through the nails securing the baseboard to the wall. It’s usually a real pain pulling the baseboard loose, then going back and removing all the nails. This time I cut the baseboard loose, without damage to the wall, and flush cut the nails at the same time. It cut through the nails like they weren’t there. I had to double check that I was actually cutting nails! It turned that into a very easy job. Very impressed. A very useful tool for the cost.

Deserves more than 5 stars If you know what an oscillating multitools (OMT) can do, then treat yourself to the great performance and value of the Dremel MM40-05 kit. Some tools you can really cheap out on and be totally satisfied -I’m a frequent flyer at Harbor Freight Airlines. But in my opinion, an OMT must have these features to really satisfy: 1. Power 2. Variable speed 3. Toolless blade changes. The MM40-05 brings it all and ups the ante with an above-average assortment of included attachments AND a blow-molded hardcase that lets you stow tool, cord, and all it’s accessories without having to perfectly arrange everything just to get the case shut. I’m thrilled to own and use this great tool. Incredible value for the price.
