shouldve ordered shorter one excellent quality. strongly built qith plenty of power. I ordered the longer model thinking i needed the extra torque/power fromg a longer handle, but the extra length limited my work space/made it hard to qork in tight spaces like behind my toilets. I think the short handled model would have plenty of power and offer more versatility.
but pretty straight forward to swap fittings and crimp with no … Well built tool that works as described.First time PEX user here, but pretty straight forward to swap fittings and crimp with no problems. Definitely run a test crimp or two prior to permanent installation, and keep in mind this is not good for getting into tight places as the handles have to be opened almost 180 degrees it seems. Plan how you will make your connections and assemble as much as you can prior to anchoring or installing the final crimp to save yourself some hassle.
Solid build What a great tool and system. A little difficult to sift through all of the fittings but this crimper makes short work of the copper rings once you get through all of that. Just finished my first job with system and this tool. Very easy to cut the tubing and this short version of crimper fits in tight spaces. Like under the floor next to the HVAC and the foundation, etc… I do suggest to the manufacture that the extra die sets have a more firm place to rest in the case, they tend to fall out often when in the frantic of work on the job.
