Lots of great info This is a really good well made book. It’s a heavy construction and can survive the rough use that home or car repair books usually end up dealing with. I’m knocking off 1 star because the book is missing some stuff I really wanted in there (advanced drywall and framing). I think this is a book for an existing homeowner, not a book for building new construction/adding additions. The book goes into great detail about a lot of things though, especially electrical wiring. I really appreciate this, because electric terrifies me. The book has a lot of great info about stuff I didn’t think I’d be interested in (never thought I’d enjoy learning about leech fields). I’d recommend this book to anyone looking for a good home maintenance book.

Really helpful book A really helpful book for those that wanted to save money in doing simple home repair by themselves. The pictures are clear, and the instructions are also clear. The book also give cutaway figure/pictures for things, so you will know the name of specific components, which are great for beginners. This book covers more things that just simple home repair, but also on how to manage contractors, and more complex tasks such as installing air conditioners. This book does not cover much about wiring and electronics though, though that is covered in another book.Really great book.
